What we nourish
Montessori education is a philosophy that is more respectful and supportive of the formative years and uniqueness of the child.
Vertical age groups in one classroom – This allows each individual to take on different roles, as in any other social setting. Naturally, the older child learns patience and tolerance towards the younger child. Thus, they start taking on more leadership roles – enhancing their self-esteem and confidence. On the contrary, the younger child looks up to the older child as a role model and learns through observation – creating a sense of community. This naturally allows children to collaborate, work as a team and resolve conflict daily, which are vital social skills required for life.
Preparation for life – It emphasizes the development of social, emotional and spiritual intelligence, as opposed to just academic intelligence.
