Tulips Montessori is a small, Montessori based preschool catering for children between ages 3 – 6 years old. We may accept children from 2 and half years if they are emotionally ready and independent to fit into our environment. We are a half day preschool situated in Surrey Estate, Athlone.

Tulips Montessori embraces the Montessori philosophy. The concepts of independence, responsibility and respect are strongly encouraged. Subsequently, children are given the freedom of choice in a well-prepared, child-friendly environment with appropriate boundaries set by the educators.

We place a strong focus on developing the child as a whole – enhancing self-esteem, security and the confidence required for a successful life. We respect that each child is a unique being with a unique personality and is thus allowed to reveal their developmental path naturally. Our purpose as educators is not to force upon teaching, but to provide the necessary tools and exposure to allow the child to develop to his/her full potential.
